Edit your manifest, safely

The manifest.json is your pack's ID card — get a field wrong and it won't import. MiniBench gives you a form for it, so you edit the safe parts and can't break the fragile ones.

  1. Open the manifest form

Tap manifest.json in the file tree. Instead of raw JSON, you get a clean form: Pack Info (name, description), Pack Version, Minimum Engine Version, and an Identifiers section.
  2. Edit safely

Change the name and description freely. Bump the version with the Major / Minor / Patch steppers when you ship an update. Pick the oldest Minecraft version your pack needs under Minimum Engine Version.

The UUIDs and format_version sit under Identifiers (read-only) — visible but locked, so a stray tap can't corrupt the values Minecraft relies on to import your pack.

Why it matters.

A malformed manifest or duplicate UUID is the #1 reason a pack won't import. See what's inside.
