Common commands to try
These are the Minecraft Bedrock commands you'll reach for most in a .mcfunction. Drop them into a function in MiniBench (autocomplete has your back), then run it in-game. Leave the / off inside a function file — it's only needed when you type in chat.
Build & place blocks
setblock ~ ~1 ~ stone Place a single block. Coordinates can be exact (10 64 10) or relative to you (~ ~ ~).
fill ~-2 ~ ~-2 ~2 ~ ~2 oak_planks Fill a box between two corners with a block — floors, walls, platforms.
fill ~-2 ~ ~-2 ~2 ~3 ~2 glass hollow Add hollow to fill only the shell (walls + edges), leaving the inside empty.
clone 0 64 0 10 70 10 20 64 20 Copy a region of blocks from one place to another.
Entities & items
summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ Spawn an entity where you point the coordinates — mobs, armor stands, and more.
give @p diamond 5 Give items to a player. @p is the nearest player, @a is everyone, @s is yourself.
effect @s speed 30 1 Apply a status effect (here: Speed for 30 seconds, level 1).
Player & world
tp @s ~ ~10 ~ Teleport — great for hopping above your build to see it from the air.
gamemode creative @s Switch game modes: creative, survival, adventure, spectator.
time set day Set the time of day — day, night, noon, midnight.
weather clear Change the weather — clear, rain, or thunder.
say Hello from my pack! Print a message in chat — handy for testing that a function ran.
