Import & edit an existing .mcpack
Already have a pack — one you made, downloaded, or a friend shared? Open it in MiniBench and pick up editing. MiniBench validates it, copies it into a fresh project, and regenerates UUIDs so it won't clash on import.
-
Tap Import Pack
On the home screen, tap Import Pack. You can also open a .mcpack straight from the Files app or a share sheet — MiniBench is registered as a handler, so "Open in MiniBench" works too. -
Pick your .mcpack
The Files picker opens — browse to your .mcpack (in iCloud Drive, On My iPad, or wherever you saved it) and select it. MiniBench checks the manifest and structure as it imports. -
Edit the imported project
MiniBench copies the pack into a new project and opens it in the editor — regenerating the pack's UUIDs on the way in, so a re-export won't collide with the original in Minecraft. From here it's a normal project: tweak functions, preview in 3D, and re-export.
Note: v1 focuses on function packs. Non-function packs (resource packs, skin packs, add-ons) are cleanly declined for now.
Edited it? Send it back.
When you're done, export the pack and open it in Minecraft like any other.
