Exporting to Minecraft

The Export screen is how your work leaves MiniBench and becomes a file Minecraft can open. Here's how to read it, pick the right format, and get a clean pack out every time.

New here? Start with Your first pack: blank → in-game for the full round trip. This tutorial goes deeper on just the export step.
  1. Open the Export screen

Open your project and tap Export. MiniBench shows everything about the pack it's about to build — its name and type, the export format, the version, and a validation report — all on one screen before anything leaves the app.
  2. Read the validation

MiniBench checks your pack and tells you what it finds before you export — a malformed manifest, a missing pack_icon.png, or, here, that there's no tick.json so your functions won't auto-run. Warnings like this don't block the export; they just tell you what to expect in-game (this pack runs with /function instead). A clean pack simply reports that all checks passed.
  3. Choose your format

    Pick what Minecraft receives:

    · .mcpack — a single pack (the default, and what you want most of the time).
    · .mcaddon — a behavior pack + resource pack bundled together, for add-ons.
    · .mcworld — your pack embedded in a ready-to-play world, so it's active the moment it opens. (.mcworld export is part of MiniBench Pro.)
  4. Tap Export — the share sheet appears

MiniBench packages the file and hands it to iOS. The standard share sheet slides up with your pack — here, Redstone Manor · 164 KB — ready to send anywhere.
  5. Send it straight to Minecraft

Tap Minecraft and the game imports your pack automatically — no files to move by hand.

Don't see Minecraft? It only appears if Minecraft Bedrock is installed on the same device. Install it, then export again.
  6. …or save it for later

You don't have to send it to Minecraft right away. Save to Files keeps the .mcpack in iCloud or on-device, and AirDrop sends it to another device — handy for sharing a pack with a friend or moving it to another iPad.

Exported — now get it running.

Once your pack is in Minecraft, you still have to turn it on. Next up: activating a behavior pack on a world and running it.
