Make a teleport pad

Your first bit of real command logic: a one-line function that launches you into the air. Write it in MiniBench, run it with /function, and you've built a warp pad.

  1. Write the warp function

Make a new function called warp and add one command:

    tp @s ~ ~40 ~

That teleports you (@s) 40 blocks straight up — ~ keeps your X and Z, ~40 adds to your Y. Autocomplete and the signature bar guide every argument as you type.
  2. Run it in-game

Export the pack, open it in Minecraft, and activate it on a world with Cheats on. Then open the chat and type /function warp. Minecraft recognizes the function from your pack.
  3. Warp!

Send it and you're launched skyward — the chat confirms “You have been teleported… Successfully executed…”. Change the numbers to warp anywhere: tp @s ~ ~ ~20 jumps forward, tp @s 100 70 200 jumps to fixed coordinates.
Make it a real pressure-plate pad: wire the function to a tick.json and use execute as @a at @s if block ~ ~-1 ~ diamond_block run tp @s … — now anyone standing on a diamond block gets warped automatically. Same idea, one step further.

Keep building.
